| I have worked at Timberland in Manchester for over 2 years and in this time I have gained valuable insights into the fashion and retail processes. I have also gained first hand experience with consumer behaviour, visual merchandising and brand communication. Shop floor work has given me a good base to expand from for a future career as I have experience across all levels of the fashion industry. |

| I worked on placement at Gorgeous Couture where I focused on developing skills in brand management, marketing of a fashion company and press release. It gave me a broad insight into the industry and developed my overall fashion communication skills. |
| Having achieved a Distinction in my Art Foundation diploma prior to university, I have a keen desire in fashion and textile design. This has been strengthened and expanded into a great interest in fashion communication and brand management through my degree course.
Also, having worked on retail shop floors for 5 years to support my education, I am aware of all levels of the fashion process such as consumer buying behaviour and fashion consumption.
It is now my intention to gain an insight into the press release/ brand management side of fashion. This will reinforce my knowledge and skills to enable me to pursue a future career in this area.
